Stray cats keeping lost baby safe and warm
Need more evidence that animals have intelligence, problem solving skills, emotions? Maybe you’d just like to read a heartwarming story, especially near Christmas? A one year old child, who is homeless along with his father, was lost for a few days. When the police officer found him, he was in a gutter, with stray cats surrounding him, and lying on him. Some were cleaning him. When the officer approached, the cats tried to protect the baby, hissing and spitting at the officer. Read the whole story.
I read another article a few months ago, where a young woman abandoned her newborn baby, and when they found the infant, a stray dog who had newborn puppies of her own had found him and pulled him into her nest with her puppies, and cared for him.The doctors said the baby would have died if not for the mother dog.
How some people can think that animals are robotic and instinctive only, and have no real intelligence, emotions, or even the ability to feel pain the way we do, is beyond me! I’ve seen them grieve a loss, gently tolerate a child or frisky puppy, and trust specific people intensely.
I believe God gave us animals to help us in many ways, including to encourage and comfort us, particularly cats, dogs, horses, etc. (No, I don’t believe in evolution — and neither do many, many qualified and respected scientists whose voices have largely been silenced by those who cannot possibly deal with the admission that “intelligent creation” is the only possible origin of our world.)
And note that God allowed animals to be among the witnesses to the birth of Jesus. I believe that was as much by His design as everything else that happened when Jesus was born. And it certainly should be a reminder to us all that He charged us to care for His Creation, care for the earth and the animals.
having an animals as domestic pet is surely a great responsibility.Give them care like our own.By giving food and shelter surely we are giving the best care.moreover, i also get my dog a pet gate so that some places are safe from his running activities.:)
